සති සරසවිය or Mindfulness on Campus is a secular program designed to share mindfulness practice with undergraduates in Sri Lankan universities. University students will be exposed to the value of developing the skill of mindfulness on campus. Academic benefits and the positive impact of mindfulness will be discussed, citing examples from other countries where such programs are underway. Scientific evaluations showing the benefits on students who are already practicing mindfulness will be presented to Sri Lankan undergraduates.
A set of guidelines on how to practice mindfulness on campus has been prepared and will be shared with academics who will facilitate these programs in their respective faculties.
සති සරසවිය is modeled on the same lines as the secular සති පාසැල – Mindful School – program and will be introduced to university faculties that voluntarily join in this effort.
